We aim to share the art and culture of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian fighting style practiced the world over by people of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities.

Training with us will instill confidence, encourage knowledge of Afro-Brazilian culture, develop musical and physical abilities, and contribute to our vibrant and diverse Conejo Valley community.

Your first class, step by step

01 Come and watch, or just join in

No experience needed and nothing to buy. Wear something you can move in. Most of us train barefoot.

02 Book your first class

Pick a date on the booking page and pay for the one class. If it suits you, buy a few ahead.

03 Train, play, learn the music

Every class covers movement, and most cover the instruments and songs that make the roda what it is.

04 Join the roda

When you are ready you step into the circle. Everyone does, at their own pace.

No. Classes are open to all backgrounds, ages, and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced players.

Comfortable clothing you can move freely in. Most classes are practiced barefoot.

Kids from 5 to 14 and adults from 15 up, in separate classes at separate locations. See the class schedule above.

No. Capoeira is played, not competed, and you step into the roda when you feel ready. Nobody is pushed.

Yes. Tick as many dates as you like on the booking page, or buy a package. Your balance comes off automatically each time you train.
